Iraq healthcare cleanup unfolds in stages (18/05/05)



Iraq's healthcare system will be assessed
 
After completing a specialised military education program, a team of healthcare and international professionals from ABT Associates traveled to Iraq last month to work with Iraq's health ministry and begin a post-conflict assessment of the country's healthcare system needs.

The US Agency for International Development (USAID) awarded the private international research and consulting firm a $10 million contract to assist in stabilising and strengthening Iraq's health system.
