Bulgaria needs to explore Iraq's business (13/04/05)


Bulgarian companies need to press on the search for business opportunities in Iraq, the US ambassador to Sofia has said. James Pardew advised local entrepreneurs to be more persisting when they apply for a role in infrastructure projects.

The envoy was talking to participants in a special seminar in Sofia, where US companies shared their business experience in Iraq with the Bulgarian colleagues. About 50 Bulgarian companies have joined the forum.

In his opening speech, Pardew voiced optimism about the future of joint business ventures between Bulgarian and Iraqi firms. Bulgaria's business could work well with the Iraqis, the ambassador was cited as saying.
