The ministry is working on importing caws and the rehabilitation of an artificial fertiliser centre. It has also prepared a plan to establish new fish aquariums in the Baghdad area while many foreign and Arabian companies look to rehabilitate the Al-Soeira center. Al Sharifi also announced that the ministry would continue stopping smuggling foragers outside Iraq by stopping exporting licenses from the Ministry of Trade.

In other news, the water director of the Baghdad governorate Zaki Mouter announced that the governorate had committed $1.1 million to moderating the sector and developing water nets in provinces of Baghdad such as Al-Mahmmodia, Al-Yosfia, Al-Madaain, Abu Gharaib, Al-Taji and Al-Hussainia.

Mr Mouter added that the development of these nets - some of which are 35 years old - would reduce the scarcity of water supply and strengthen the sector, one of many implementation the entire governorate.
