The bidding is for 3D seismic surveys for Kirkuk field, 290 km north of Baghdad, and for Rumaila oil field near Basra, about 550 km south of the Iraqi capital.
The ministry set a deadline of Apr. 30 for submission of tender documents, while a meeting has been scheduled for June for negotiations with the interested companies.
The oil ministry said it expects field operations to start in the fourth quarter.
