It's other objective was to assess reserve potential as the Jamjamal gas field, to provide fuel supplies for electricity generation stations presently under construction in Irbil and Al Sulaimaniyah.
More than 60 percent of project works have been completed at Khor Mor. Gas production from the site is expected to debut in early 2008, according to the timeline in place.
Moreover, seismic surveys are underway to assess soil layers in Khor Mor and Jamjamal, in order to provide necessary accurate geological and geophysical data.

Under the dictates of the strategic alliance signed with the provincial government, Dana Gas is performing a comprehensive study to maximize exploitation of natural gas resources to sustain economic growth in Kurdistan Iraq.
The pioneering Kurdistan Gas City industrial project was launched was launched under the alliance, aimed at encouraging private-sector investments in various industrial activities, crate new job openings and enhance economic performance in general.
Sharjah-based Dana Gas owns five branch offices in four continents. The firm plans to open new branches in other locations in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia to further develop its operations and business scale.
