Airline to open on Monday between Baghdad and Beirut (24/10/05)

Flights are now being scheduled from Baghdad to Beirut

A new direct airline is scheduled to officially open between Baghdad and Beirut on Monday during the official visit of Iraqi Public Works and Transportation Minister Salam Almaleki to the country, according to a statement made by the General Agent of Iraqi Airlines in Lebanon Aqeel Haddad on Saturday.

Haddad said in a press conference that Almaleki will hold talks with his Lebanese counterpart Muhammad Assafadi on bolstering bilateral land, marine and air transportation in light of the Lebanese-Iraqi agreement signed in 1967 over air-transportation cooperation.
