Saudi Arabia now negotiating with Iraq

The minister told Asharq Al-Awsat daily that he respects the wise and balanced policies of Saudi Arabia, which usually adopts policies accepted by all. He hoped that the friction over his anti-Saudi tirade last week would be forgotten.

The Iraqi president and Foreign Minister publicly rebuked the minister calling his remarks last week extremely regrettable and noting that if there were any differences of opinion between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, they should be solved through negotiations.
