The Iraqi delegation included five representatives, was led by Deputy Minister of Health Ammar al-Saffar, and included an official from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
This delegation met with World Bank officials in Amman, Jordan, to discuss their original proposal requesting a $37 million grant to build 18 rehabilitation clinics, one in each province, for disabled persons, and 10 artificial limb clinics. The World Bank initially agreed to a $17.2 million grant, and increased this amount to $18.7 million after further negotiations.
