Iraq Transportation & Communications Technology Summit

In partnership with the Government of The Republic of Iraq, we are proud to announce the official Iraq Transportation & Communications Technology Summit.

Following the hugely successful summit in Dubai for the Ministry of Industry & Minerals, it is clear that greater stability and increasing GDP in Iraq has now attracted more international operators than ever before, to work with the Iraqi Government on its major infrastructure projects.

The spotlight has now turned on the transport and communications sector with incredible business opportunities available in the airports, railways, ports, logistics, fixed & mobile communications networks and public sector IT systems. What better example than a $2.2bn commitment to procure new airplanes? The summit will also focus on the importance of developing the infrastructure necessary for building a modern and comprehensive state transport system.

The Iraq Development Program organises summits only in partnership with the Iraqi Government ministries, only when there are genuine business opportunities, only when the subject is pertinent and above all, when we can be sure that participating companies get a return on their attendance, as the following bear testimony to:

"We decided to sponsor the Iraq Development Program “Investing in Iraq” organised in Dubai in order to get a better understanding of the potential for future investments as Iraq starts to rebuild. The event proved to be a very good venue to meet high level Iraq government officials and other businesses to explore opportunities in Iraq."
ArcelorMittal
"The IDP Summit represented a unique opportunity, one very rarely presented at such a high level. Well done to the IDP for executing this. We look forward to working with you in the future."
Zain in Iraq
"A first-rate well managed conference run by people that understand the importance of providing special opportunities for participants to meet privately with key actors and have a unique ability to structure the program to maximise such opportunities. Still more impressive was the ability to attract and deliver key decision makers at a very difficult time."
US-Iraq Business Alliance
"This Summit is unique in both mission and purpose. It isn't the usual conference rhetoric...it is a unique opportunity to understand requirements, and to exchange ideas between the Government of Iraq and the Industry Leaders that hold stake in the success of the Nation.” It allows all delegates to understand and to be understood, as well as offer the foundation for lasting and trusted friendships and partnerships."
Raytheon
The Iraq Development Program is now in its fifth year of organising meetings-based summits that have gathered over 7,000 international delegates and over 550 Iraqi Government officials

Unique Format

IDP has now organised several high-level summits in partnership with the Iraqi Government. The format is aimed at ensuring participating companies have the opportunity to enter into bilateral and contractual discussions with the ministries. Half of the summit time is devoted to speeches and presentations and the other half devoted to one-to-one meetings.
Each Minister will speak during the opening ceremony on the 9th October, giving an overview of their strategy and requirements.
Deputies and Director Generals will provide specific technical information and contract opportunities
The afternoons of both the 9th and 10th October will see private roundtables set up for each minister and their officials plus the state owned enterprises and the various authorities representing the US Government.
Prior to the summit, confirmed sponsors and delegates will be given a choice of preferred prescheduled meetings.
Limited sponsorship opportunities and tabletop presentations will be available.
Registration and participation as a sponsor is only available through the Iraq Development Program.

"Thanks for all you did to make this summit happen."
