Iraq Ministry of Industry Completes Assessments for its State Owned Enterprises

The Iraqi Ministry of Industry has completed a series of in-depth assessments of the various state owned companies that fall within its authority, ahead of the forthcoming 'Investing in Iraq's Industry Sectors' Summit taking place in Dubai on 19-20 April 2008.

The assessments, carried out by the Ministry of Industry & Minerals with the assistance of the US Department of Defence Task Force for Business & Stability Operations (TFBSO) cover the six primary industrial sectors of construction, engineering, petrochemicals, food and pharmaceuticals, industrial services and textiles.

This information will prove invaluable to all commercial organisations attending the summit, providing as it does key details on all aspects of the Iraqi SOEs attending the summit, information that can be used in the various roundtable discussions being held with SOE director generals and other key investment advisors from the Iraqi Ministry of Industry over the course of the two days.

The full set of assessments for each Iraqi SOE can be accessed by downloading the following slide presentation document.
